DIRECTOR
CHEN LIAOYU: the
Everyday
Good Habits
is a 57-episode
TV cartoon
series, which is
about all the
students at
Class 3, Grade
4, Erlonglu
Elementary
School. Each
episode takes 5
minute and
introduces a
good habit in
daily life. The
patterns of all
characters are
in square, which
is unusual and
rare in cartoons
before. What is
more interesting
is that all the
sound effects
are made with
human voice,
such as walking
steps, bird
flying while
swing its wings,
etc. The
animattions and
musics in it
also provide a
special effect
to the cartoon.
(From Episode
13)
The vocal sound
effects creation
also present us
a lot of
happiness, let
us feel like
backing to the
innocent and
happy childhood.
(From Episode
57)
Also, the way it
tells stories is
different to
other cartoons.
the Everyday
Good Habits
cartoons are
stories about
the pupil, and
the unique thing
of it is that it
looks at things
happening around
them not from an
adult's
perspective but
from a child's
own ones,
encouraging
students to
start
establishing a
concept of right
and wrong when
they are very
young.
A TV News
studio-style
scene in the
cartoon.
(Episode 1)
In order to
deepen
everyone's
impression of
the habit we are
talking about,
we deliberately
arranged a
wonderful
section of a
small stage
performance at
the end of each
episode. It
looks a lot like
shouting
slogans, but we
think we put
this practice of
shouting slogans
itself, turning
it into a very
comedic
approach. You
will find that
it is a cartoon
that is
different from
previous
cartoons.

13)
